Winfield Good Old Days

Fun for the whole family

Good Old Days Volunteers Needed

Winfield’s Good Old Days is scheduled for Sept 4-7 this year, and the initial planning committee has met for the first time!  Volunteers are needed to help work the Sunday Parade, and possibly help plan a Saturday scavenger hunt for kids.   The event also needs adult volunteers to watch children in the bouncy houses, etc. and assist in a garden hose water fight.   Caliendo’s is planning their second annual meatball eating contest as well.

The committee is also exploring options for a carnival and a petting zoo.

The Knights of Columbus scholarship beef dinner is scheduled for Thursday night, and based on feedback from last year, we’ll try to have something for the kids to do.  Last year, over 400 people attended the dinner!

Rick Saucedo, our favorite Elvis tribute artist, is due to return for a Friday night performance.  The Saturday schedule should have the bags tournament, penny carnival and the park district events.

The schedule is still tentative, so now is the time to get involved so you can make Good Old Days fun and safe for all ages!
